The authenticity of a signature


Signatures on documents are executed in the presence of a notary. If a signature on a certified document was not executed in the presence of a notary, the person who signed the document may acknowledge before the notary that the affixed signature is his own.
The signatory should appear in person, with his identity document and with the document under which he wants to sign.

 

Confirming the true copy of original document


In order to make a copy / excerpt from the document, the original document must be shown to the notary, and the person presenting the document should appear at the Office with his identity document.

 

Date of presenting the document (certified date)


In order to mark the document with the certified date, the original document must be shown to the notary, and the person presenting the document should appear at the Office with his identity document.

 

Costs


For certifying the signature or the fingerprint of an illiterate person or persona unable to write 

a) on documents, if the sum of money is specified for an object - the fee depends on this sum,however not more than PLN 300 net,
b) on power of attorney and other documents - PLN 20 net.


For certifying that the document is a true copy of the original – PLN 6 net for each page.

For certifying the time of presenting the document - PLN 6 net for each page.
For confirmation of being alive:

a) in order to receive a retirement or disability pension or other social security benefits - PLN 5,

b) for any other purpose - PLN 30;

c) for confirmation of staying in a specified place - 30 PLN.
